Winter Training
The SYSC winter training schedule runs from February through March. Typically, each team is given between 5 and 7 slots at one of our indoor facilities and the team's trainer runs the session. It is expected that players will attend their team's training slot. Players can attend another team's session ONLY if they have an ongoing religious school or academic conflict with their team's slot. You must contact your child's coach if you need to have your child attend another team's winter practice.
Other Winter Training Activities
We recognize that some players may wish to embark on individual training plans, and this is fine. However, small group sessions which are not made available to the entire team may be viewed as exclusionary and are discouraged.
Other Winter Soccer Venues
Teams may enter tournaments or indoor leagues as well as long as the entire team is invited to join and as long as it is organized and managed by the team coaches. Please do not invite only a subset of your team to play at a venue. Parents should also not attempt to organize any winter program for all or a subset of the team without the direct involvement and accountability of the coaches. Please do not invite players not on your team to play unless the coach of the other team has granted permission to approach his/her players.
