Scarsdale Youth Soccer Club

SYSC Programs by Grade and other programs.

For grades K-2, SYSC offers a microsoccer program, designed to teach our little ones the fundamental skills of the game, while keeping them moving on small fields with little goals. The training is positive and fun! Microsoccer is offered on the weekends in the spring and fall. Our spring Microsoccer program is currently open, click HERE

For grade 3 in the FALL, SYSC offers open "no tryouts" balanced teams. The club offers neighborhood-based balanced teams which play during the FALL season. Signup occurs in June (when the players are finishing second grade). These teams have OPTIONAL weekly clinic-oriented training, and 9-10 Sunday games between September and November. No scores or standings are published. Games are played on small-sided fields. All players must play in the Fall Village Recreation Soccer program.

For grade 3 in the Spring, SYSC offers third grade teams, again organized by neighborhood. Signup occurs in DECEMBER.  There will be optional training sessons in February and March. These teams will also play in the WYSL during April through June. One weekly (usually on Saturday) practice with the coach is required. Optional skills clinics will continue.

For grades 4-6, SYSC offers both competitive, tryout-based teams, and balanced teams. All teams play in the WYSL and the commitment is for a FULL YEAR - September through June. Tryouts and signup/evaluations are in May and June for the Fall. There is twice a week required training and 9-10 Sunday games between September and November and another 9-10 Sunday games between April and June. For the 4th grade (under 10 years old), no scores or standings are published.  Players in grades 4 and 5 must play in the Fall Village Recreation Soccer Program. There is Winter Skills training once per week in February and March.

For grades 7-8, our soccer players continue to play in the WYSL. New players are welcome to join through the tryout process held in May and June for the next year. The commitment is still for a year, September through June. There is twice a week required training and 9-10 games on Sundays from September through November, and another 9-10 games on Sundays between April and June.  There is Winter Skills training once per week in February and March.

For soccer players in High School, the club offers teams the ability to play 3 games in November (after the High School Season is over) and in the spring.  Teams are formed by coaches based on interest.
